You can probably buy 2 brand new MINI Cooper S cars for £55,000, but if you’re a diehard Madonna fan, you should jump at the chance at owning the exact model she drove around London for 4 years.
At least, that’s what AutoTrader hopes you’ll do. The singer’s old car has resurfaced and is up for sale, and the asking price is £55,000. For this kind of money, you get a car with all the factory options (and one that was a personal request by Madonna), and autographs from all the people who worked on putting it together. Of course, you also get a piece of history.

Madonna loved her MINI Cooper S. She bought it when she was living in the British capital with her husband Guy Ritchie and their kids, and spoke about how much she liked it because it was small and fast. In other words, it was the ideal car for the busy city life and she loved it for it.

In fact, Madonna loved her MINI so much that she even sang about it in the 2003 hit “American Life,” in which she boasted about being “super duper” and driving her MINI Cooper S.

The car was bought new by Madonna and was registered to The Ciccone 1989 Trust in 2002. She wanted it in black, with all the factory options possible at the time and the addition of privacy glass, which was a non-factory addition.

“When the Cowley plant workers building the car knew it was going to Madonna they all signed inside the bodyshell and under the bonnet,” AutoTrader says in the listing.

“There are several paparazzi photo's of Madonna nipping around London in the MINI carrying out school runs with her daughter or heading off to the recording studio. Even the previous destinations logged in the sat nav still contain several Madonna related destinations,” the listing continues.

Madonna owned the car until 2006, when she sold it to one of her drivers. He kept it in storage until 2016, when it went on sale at Brookland auction, with the asking price of £6,000 to £9,000. It ended up selling for £22,400.

Because the car has only ever covered 25,000 miles and is in “pristine” condition, it is now expected to sell again for double the amount. After all, you can’t put a price tag on Madonna memorabilia. Or you can, and it has to be exorbitant.
