Rated as one of the best post-apocalyptical motion pictures ever created, the Mad Max series left behind a famous man-machine couple: Mel Gibson and his Ford Falcon XB GT Interceptor.
Now residing in a collection in Miami’s Dezer museum, the original Interceptor is basically impossible to be bought, but if you’re looking for a replica you might want to know that one such vehicle just showed up for sale in the United Kingdom.
Built and first registered in Australia, the Falcon bears a great resemblance to the original car and has only 43,900 miles to its odometer. It was fitted with a NASCAR 6.5-liter V8 engine three years ago, and the UK dealership claims it can reach a top speed of about 170 miles per hour (273 km/h).
Enhanced by several fiberglass body parts and even a Police beacon light and siren, the Ford Falcon XB GT has a price tag of £79,995 (€94,373 / $125,856). Quite expensive if you ask us, but we bet it won’t look that bad to a Mad Max enthusiast.
