Pop the hood of this truly unique-looking vehicle and you'll be greeted with 383 cubic inches of Chevy Small Block Stroker V8 power. The 6.3-liter mill has been tuned to deliver over 500 horsepower and in excess of 500 ft-lb (677 Nm) of torque according to the seller.

If those figures are correct, then this car is quite the beast when you take into account it weighs only 2,300 lbs (1,043 kilograms). All that power is sent to the rear wheels via a Turbo 350 by Cliff Whynaught transmission.

Originally an Open Wheel Asphalt Modified racer that used to compete at the El Cajon Speedway in San Diego, the owner modified this car for the best part of three hard years of work. The small dual windscreens are genuine Brooklands made in Great Britain, while the Kirkey Racing bucket seats with Speedway Motors harnesses have been specially modified for this vehicle. We're not so sure of the cartoonish looks of that massive HRP Sprint Car wing which also acts as a roof or those pieces of plywood in the back, but in the end it's just a matter of every man to his taste when it comes to project cars.
