The new 4 Series became a BMW enthusiast favorite almost immediately after it was launched. A couple of factors might’ve interfered here but no matter how you look at it, the experiment was successful.
In less than a year, the Germans managed to almost completely reshape their line-up, completely removing the Coupe 1 Series and 3 Series from the matrix and replacing them with new models that have their own identity.
It’s not just the branding that changed but the new cars also have a different feel to them. The 4 Series, for example, even though it resembles the 3 Series, it’s a completely different breed.
Being lower, wider and with a much improved center of gravity, the Coupe feels planted when you’re driving it and gives you a dangerous feeling of immunity against every thing and anything on the road. That can get pretty addictive really fast.
The looks of the thing, though... You could spend hours admiring it and it still wouldn’t be enough. The sleek roofline coupled with the character lines that go from the front all the way to the sculpted, muscular back are worth every single penny you pay for this beauty.
Admittedly, some improvements could be made. On the wheel design department BMW seems to be falling behind. That’s no problem at all though, if you have the money needed to buy this thing.
Such as the gentleman that owns the Estoril Blue M Sport 435i in the adjacent images. He decided the Munich-based manufacturer didn’t have the perfect wheels for his ride and he went ahead and bought some new ones.
He chose Velgen’s 19-inch VMB5 model with a titanium gloss finish. To make sure the stance was also perfect, he dropped the whole car by a couple of millimeters using H&R Supersport springs that work flawlessly with the adaptive suspension. The end result can be admired in the gallery below.
