With the 2 Series Active Tourer BMW wrote not one but two new pages in its book, this car being both the first front-wheel-drive car and the first MPV the Bavarians ever made, a natural response to the competition represented by Mercedes-Benz’s B-Class.
When the car was unveiled both online and at the Geneva Auto Show, the world stopped to watch it and many wondered if that was it. The modern line and luxury line models are ok but some might actually want a more aggressive experience. That’s where the M Sport model fits in.

Just like any other M Sport vehicles in BMW’s range, this one too befits from a harder, 10 mm lower suspension and a meaner exterior look due to the front and rear bumpers, new side skirts, new wheels, chromed exhaust tips, M badging all the way, painted brake calipers and high-gloss black kidney grilles.

The first photos of the M Sport 2SAT show it in the traditional Estoril blue paint, detailing both the exterior and the interior. Inside you’ll find new M Sport door sill finishers joined by a similar multifunction steering wheel and footrest while a BMW anthracite roof with blue contrasting stitching all over and the already usual Alcantara/micro hexagon combination welcomes you to sit down on the revised sport seats.

The best way to enjoy the M Sport package would be, of course, with the top of the range engine, the one fitted inside the 225i, a 2-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol unit making 231 HP and 350 Nm of torque.
