M Performance Parts Kit for BMW 2 Series Coupe Unveiled

Just like its 4 Series Coupe brother before, the new 2 Series was also decked with M Performance Parts, as promised by high-ranking officials this summer. The sporty treatment has some aces up its sleeve, both from a visual standpoint and from a performance point of view.

The latter is represented by a Performance Power Kit for the 220d model that takes the power output from 184 HP and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque to 200 HP and 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) of torque and a kit for the range topping M235i model that allows it to drift easier, thanks to a limited-slip differential and sound meaner (via a new rear silencer).

New, 19” bicolor rims will also be introduced alongside a lowered suspension for improved handling, alongside new brake calipers in red, yellow or orange, depending on your taste.

Since we’re still on the outside of the car, we should also mention the new aero kit made of new side skirts with M Performance lettering on them, a new rear diffuser, new front splitter, black kidney grilles, carbon fibre mirror caps and M Performance stripes.

Inside you can get yourself an Alcantara steering wheel and gaiter alongside a carbon fibre gear lever and handbrake.

Unfortunately, all this goodness won’t be available until March 2014 but that’s no problem as the car itself won’t be available until then but it will be on display at the Essen Motor Show 2013.
