The collection is linked to the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Formula 1 team, which has been using prototype styles since the first Grand Prix of the 2009 season in Australia.

The new line of luggage is not only lightweight and durable, but also features a high-end wheel suspension system that absorbs the impact when passing over bumpy ground to protect the goods inside the bag.
“Perhaps most importantly is the need for unrivalled robustness and security. Ensuring our luggage, which could include race critical laptops or new components, arrives at the destination in one piece is vital. We are looking forward to continuing to develop and innovate in this area with Samsonite,” added Neale.
The bags, starting at $326, will be launched in Fall/Winter 2009 and be available at all Samsonite stores worldwide. Samsonite representatives declared themselves very pleased with the partnership too.
“This will add more value and strength to our operations and give more exposure to our elite Samsonite Black Label stores and with our affiliates towards the end of fall 2009," said Mr. Prashant Vatkar, Samsonite’s Vice President in Middle East.
