Luxgen7 MPV with Think+, Yulon's Path to Glory

How many of you have heard of Taiwanese car manufacturers? Never mind, we know the answer to that question... Well, they do exist and at least one of them, Yulon Group, plans on becoming a global player. Their weapon of choice? The Luxgen7 MPV, the world's first "advanced and smart MPV", they say. With 23 ECUs on board and 8 video cameras, we tend to agree.

Launched yesterday in Taipei, the Luxgen7 MPV is a 7 seater who put infotainment and comfort in the front seat. It uses an exclusive Think + Car PC infotainment system, as well as integrated road safety systems. The Think+ comes with a built-in HSPDA 3.5G communication, GPS Navigation and a 10.2 inch LCD display screen.

Road safety system is somewhat of a second nature of the Luxgen7, as it comes packed with Eagle View+ 360 degree parking assist (4 video cameras), Side View+, Night Vision+, Lane Departure Warning System+...With all those "+" in there, the Luxgen& seems like a car which can be driven by a blind person...

And speaking of driving, the MPV does that too. Moving, that is. It is powered by a 2.2l DOHC engine, turbocharged and intercooled, developing 175 hp at 5,200 rpm. The engine is mated to an AISIN 5-speed adaptive automatic transmission.

Unfortunately, no release date or pricing for a possible export version of the Luxgen7 MPV have been yet announced. Still, we can't help but advising you to follow this link and check out more about the car. We did and we must admit, it's worth it (except for the language part)...

PS. Luxgen is short for "Luxury Genius". Catchy, right?
