Lumma Reveals the Porsche Cayenne CLR 558 GT

The Porsche Cayenne was designed from the get-go to look like a sports car from the front, with lights similar to those of a 911 and fluid swooping lines for the windshield. So it should not be a suprise that most tuners turn this SUV into a low-to-the-ground sports coupe.

This was also the case with Lumma Design when it created its 2010 Porsche Cayenne CLR 558 GT. The car has received a number of exterior modifications that include a front bumper with bigger air intakes and four integrated fog lamps, LED daytime running lights and a number of carbon fiber inserts for the bumper and sideskirts. The factory hood has been replaced with a custom carbon-kevlar, one that is a lot lighter and features integrated ventilation slits for better engine breathing.

The wheel arch extensions are so extreme the tuner had to make door attachments, since they covered all four doors. At the rear the car now has a rear diffuser that creates downforce at high speeds. Three exhaust tips, the middle one being larger than the other two, have found their way into the rear bumper. The car sits lower to the ground on huge black ten-spoke wheels.

The interior can feature high end leather upholstery, Alcantara or exotic skins. “Every interior is therefore unique. There are no limits to choice of colours and unique designs. to go with the high quality leathers we create carbon fi bre applications in matching colours in almost any shade imaginable. The design shown, is the design range which is unique to LUMMA-Design. The distinctive diamond design is a distinctive feature, which is also refl ected in the interior of the CLR 558 GT,” says the company about the interior options it has to offer.

The customizer has not released any information about the power increase of the car. However, we can guess that the 558 in the vehicle's designation is actually an indication of horse power. This would mean some extra 58 horsepower have found their way under the hood of the SUV, compared to the 500 hp of the 4.8-liter V8 biturbo stock engine.
