The F13 generation of the BMW 6 Series Cabrio can already be seen hitting the streets in full open top glamor. However, since we are talking about a brand new model, aftermaket developers are still shy in offering modification packages for it. It seems that we have found a potential reason for that: certain tuners are nostalgic, preferring to stick to the defunct E64 6 Series Cabrio.
Case in point with Lumma Design, which has just released a modification pack for the defunct drop top Bimmer, targeting the vehicle’s exterior and interior and, unfortunately, leaving the tech side untouched.
The car has received a new front apron, a fresh rear bumper, as well as a multitude of carbon fiber elements, including the front grille, the rear wing and the exterior mirror casings.
One of the elements that really manages to draw attention is a set of lightweight alloy rims that come in a 21-inch size and use high-performance tires that come in a size of 255/30 for the front and 295/25 for the rear.
Like we said, the tuner also played with the interior of the vehicle, installing a flat-bottom sports steering wheel that uses carbon fiber and leather, a set of instruments with the company’s logo, carbon fiber trimming for multiple parts of the interior, as well as aluminum pedals that allow the driver to feel like controlling a race car.
What can we say? We’re big fans of modification packages for vehicles that “have been put to sleep”, so we’ll give this one the thumbs up.
