First they buy a G-Wagon or perhaps a Ranger Rover; then they switch to a sportscar, maybe even an Italian exotic. The next thing you know they drive their kids to school in a Rolls-Royce Wraith. But how many rappers who still own the car they bought before getting famous do you know?
Furious 7 actor Ludacris is that big of a car enthusiast; heck, he even teased his fans with some race games recently. For those who missed our post, you’ll want to know Chris Bridges drove the pace car during the Furious 7 300 NASCAR Race at Chicagoland Speedway. However, the artist is no pro driver, and he probably knows it, too.

The 38-year-old rapper is quite famous for something else, and we’re not referring to his career in entertainment. Not only is his 1993 Acura Legend still functional, but Ludacris claims he still likes to drive it on a regular basis. Well, that was the case until the car was recently involved in an accident.

Luckily, Acura was kind enough to take good care of the sedan and get it back on its feet. They set about to "artfully" restore and modify the vehicle under the guidance of Acura Design Studio in Los Angeles and under the direction of Acura Global Creative Director, Dave Marek.

"Working with a real car guy and a passionate Acura owner like Ludacris has made the processes of bringing his Legend back to its original glory a fun and unique experience," said Marek. "We wanted to put our own stamp on the Legend while retaining the essence of the original that Ludacris has worked so hard to maintain over the years, and we look forward to unveiling the sedan for the first time at the SEMA Show."

The rapper’s restored sedan will be among Acura’s line-up for this year’s SEMA show that kicks off November 3rd and runs through November 6. They will also bring a highly modified ILX from Galpin Auto Sports, which is inspired by the Legend rebuild.
