It seems that while they may not drive the safest and most sophisticated cars around, they seem to be very lucky, with regard to surviving horrendous crashes, which leave their looking like contorted piles of metal. In this video, a bus driver loses control of his vehicle just after having crossed an icy bridge.
The bus swerves into the oncoming lane, where it hits one car virtually head-on. However, as we previously explained, luck always makes an appearance in severe car crash situations, in Russia, and the driver and passengers usually make it out with minimal bruising - miracles do happen, apparently.
The driver of the car in this video is no exception, as he can be seen clambering out of the heavily damaged car. Oddly, he was OK, despite not wearing his seatbelt, which begs the question: Is it safer not to wear your seatbelt when driving an older car, is it safer?
