Lucky ATV Rider Involuntary Stunt

It's really funny how sometimes luck runs out... but not all of it: and what remains might be just enough to save the day. And by "day" we mean the rider making it home unscathed and in one piece, with his or her ride without damage, or at least without serious damage.
The guys in this video are raving a lot of fun, testing their skills and the brawn of the quads on rough ground. However, this kind of fun can really turn out ill results in a split second.

Tackling a ditch with too heavy a hand can wheelie even the biggest of ATVs, and this is exactly what happened this time. The rider was very swift jumping off the quad, fearing of having the ATV tumbling down atop of him... which surprisingly did not happen.

It looks like the automatic transmission had the leading role here: left with no throttle, the centrifugal clutch became disengaged and thus the ATV came to a halt.. in vertical position. Should it have been a manual gearbox version, it would have continued to wheelie and fall back, subsequently stalling.
