Just days after we reported that Aprilia are on the move as far as the US market is concerned and is cutting deeply into the prices of the 2012 bikes still in the dealerships, the Italian manufacturer announces new and lower prices for the 2013 models.
In an effort to get a stronger foothold in the North American market, Aprilia has lowered the 2013 bikes' prices under the price tags of similar-segment Ducati and now offers Italian racing quality at prices just a tad higher than what one would pay for Japanese sport machines in some cases.
Customers have to fork out $3,000 (€2,240) less for the 2013 RSV4 Factory APRC ABS than for the 1199 Ducati Panigale S, which rides in the same league. And if thinking of buying a more common liter-class bike such as the Yamaha YZF-R1, the $500 difference for a 2013 RSV4 R ABS might make customers think twice. And the RSV4R ABS is still $3,000 less than the Ducati 1199 Panigale.
2012 RSV4 R APRC – $13,999 (€10,445)
2012 Tuono V4 R – $12,999 (€9,690)
RSV4 R APRC ABS – $14,999 (€11,190)
Tuono V4 R – $13,999 (€10,445)
Shiver 750 – $9,499 (€7,080)
Mana 850 GT ABS – $11,199 (€8,350)
Dorsoduro 750 ABS – $9,999 (€7,455)
Dorsoduro 1200 – $11,999 (€8,950)
