Unveiled at the 2017 Dubai Motor Show of all places, the C7-generation Corvette ZR1 still stands as one of America’s best-ever supercars. To this day, it’s the most hardcore Corvette money can buy, which makes low mileage examples such as this one extremely pricey.
This car is being offered to the highest bidder through Bring a Trailer and with just a few hours left to go before it starts making its way towards its new owner, the current bid has reached the $170,000 mark, which means it’s being valued about the same as a brand new 2021 Porsche 911 Turbo, and that’s saying a lot.
With just 834 miles (1,342 km) on its supercharged 6.2-liter LT5 V8 engine, this track-focused Vette comes with a Sebring Orange exterior, removable carbon fiber roof panel, an adjustable rear wing, xenon headlights, carbon fiber hood and various aero elements, plus 19-inch Carbon Flash wheels that measure 19-inches at the front and 20-inches out back.
Other highlights include the orange-finished Brembo brakes, factory-equipped Magnetic Ride Control system and the Track Performance Package, which adds the increased-rate springs.
Inside, you’ll find heated and ventilated black Nappa sports seats with suede microfiber inserts and orange contrast stitching, orange seatbelts and the 3ZR Premium Equipment Group. The latter is responsible for adding carbon fiber interior trim, extended leather, the memory package, Bluetooth connectivity, sat-nav and a Bose sound system. There’s also a color head-up display and dual-zone climate control.
As you can imagine, the performance is tremendous in this car. That supercharged V8 is good for 755 hp (765 ps) and 715 lb-ft (969 Nm) of torque, with everything going to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic gearbox. Given enough room, the ZR1 can accelerate all the way to 214 mph (345 kph), making this one of the fastest cars in its class (non-hypercar segment).
