Two years ago, Lotus shocked the world at the Paris Motor Show, when the carmaker introduce a boom-like plan to give us a whole range of new models, with this targeting segments for the city to the GT and sports car one.
However, this year’s edition of the French event won’t even see the British company display cars, as Lotus will skip the 2012 edition. This has been confirmed by the event’s organizers to Car and Driver and it all makes sense.

As you probably know, Lotus CEO Dany Bahar was recently fired after introducing the aforementioned controversial brand strategy, joining forces with questionable names (in terms of styling) such as aftermarket developer Mansory and rapper Swizz Beatz, as well as drawing attention to his extravagant personal life.

However, Lotus now seems to know what it’s doing. You see, the carmaker has a strong presence at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and the automaker seems to be regrouping and preparing to come up with a reasonable revival plan.
