There are currently 1200 employees working for the Norfolk based company and Lotus aims to attract new investors from China in order to preserve the current jobs and a possible future expansion of their facility.

Lotus was to receive a government grant of £10 million in order for them to push forward with their much talked-about expansion. However, according to Mark Prisk, the grant has been put on hold ever since Lotus’s acquisition by their new Malaysian owner DRB-Hicom.

We really hope that things work out for Lotus and that they figure out their financial quibbles, because their loss from the automotive world would be irreplaceable.
