Lotus, you know - the Brits that have a 60 percent chance of succeeding to slap the world with all the five fingers of the new-age supercar palm -, now come to tease us one again by releasing new pictures of its future models.

The company has used its Facebook page to reveal the new images, which take the Elan, Elise, Esprit and Elite in multiple eye-candy Hollywood locations. It seems that the company created the images in the period of the Los Angeles Auto Show.

Of course we immersed ourselves in Lotus’ new reality for quite a while and this wasn’t necessary a good thing, as now we just can’t wait to take one of their models for a test spin. However, if we analyze the images, we can tell you that, at least from our point of view, they’re useless.

Let us explain. We guess you all agree that Lotus’s new family identity offers one of the hottest styling cues on the planet. Then, there’s the tech goodies that will hide behind the sexy body panels. We’ll remind you that Lotus recently announced that it is considering developing its own V8 and V6 engines for the aforementioned cars. These are all arguments to stare at the images for hours and hours, but knowing this, who would want to look at the background?

We’re joking of course. Becoming a bit more serious, we have to tell you that we totally agree with Lotus’s change of plans, but we would’ve really wished the company had kept one old-school ultra-light vehicle in its line-up.
