Lotus Opens Silverstone Dealership

Sport car manufacturer Lotus has announced today its Silverstone dealership will be opened for business starting this weekend. To mark the opening, the British manufacturer will host a wide range of events over the weekend.

I would like to welcome Lotus Silverstone to the Lotus family. We are delighted to have teamed up with such a well established, iconic, British brand. Silverstone is historically a place where Lotus has enjoyed a lot of success, and I am certain this will continue in the future,” Mike Kimberley, Lotus CEO said.

For the opening, the Lotus Evora will be available for everything from admiring to test driving. For those interested, Lotus offers test drives with driving instructions on hand. Alongside the Evora, its "smaller siblings", as the company calls its Exige and Elise models, will also be on display.

"Lotus cars are exceptionally well regarded as drivers’ cars and Silverstone is the perfect environment to explore the agility and impressive performance that they offer. However, staying true to the mantra of 'performance through light weight," the CEO added.

The decision to open a dealership at Silverstone came as a result of the now year long presence of Lotus cars on the respective track. The Exige and 2-Eleven models have been used as part of a number of Silverstone Driving Experiences and Motorsport Academy Courses.

"The Silverstone track activities and showroom together offer a novel way to showcase the multi-award winning, high-tech Lotus products and display the unique Lotus brand of style, performance and technology. The Exige and 2-Eleven have been very popular with Silverstone customers on track and we believe that the entire Lotus range will be equally popular in the new showroom," Ed Brookes, Silverstone Circuits finance director said.

Further details regarding the event can be found here.
