Lotus Finally Resumes Production in May

Lotus’s financial problems started ever since their parent company Proton was sold by the Malaysian government to DRB-Hicom, one of Malaysia’s leading corporations which is involved in the passenger car and 4WD vehicles market segments, while assembling cars in Malaysia for Honda and Mercedes-Benz.

Starting in May, Lotus will start producing as many as 44 cars per week, and they will finally restart the development process for the future Esprit. Hopefully, they will have the financial power to bring all of their brilliant concepts to the production line, however, reports have arisen that Lotus will surely introduce at least 3 improved version if tis current cars until the Goodwood Festival of Speed which will take place in June.

We hope Lotus recovers from this pause in production and financial crisis as they are the pinnacle of properly engineered sports cars and are much-loved by millions. The ideal scenario would be for some British billionaire who understands what Lotus represents to the automotive world to save it from its Malaysian masters - we can never lose hope in Lotus.
