Set to go on sale this summer, the Lotus Exige S Roadster is described as the fastest ever convertible built by the UK-headquartered manufacturer.
Powered by the familiar mid-mounted 3.5-liter V6 and enhanced by a Harrop HTV 1320 supercharger, the Exige S Roadster is able to accelerate to 100 km/h (62 mph) in only four seconds thanks to the 350 HP and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft ) of torque throbbing under the bonnet. Top speed is electronically-limited at 233 km/h (145 mph).
Available with a six-speed manual transmission with sports ratios, the sleek convertible might be offered with a paddle shift option if demand is sufficient. The car also comes with a fully independent double wishbone suspension, Bilstein high performance gas dampers and Eibach coaxial springs.
Other features include AP-Racing four-piston callipers, Hydraulic Brake Assist, Electronic Brake Distribution, Cornering Brake Control and Lotus Dynamic Performance Management. The Exige S Roadster will roll on 17/18-inch lightweight cast alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tires.
