The Lotus Evora GTE was originally created as a model for the Asian market, yet strong demand for the hardcore supercharged track attacker has resulted in it landing in Frankfurt last week.
This naturally means that Europeans will get to play with it, which leaves one major market hanging.

Not any more, as Auto Guide has found out that the 444 horsepower car will indeed go on sale in the US, and it could make the trip across the pond in as little as six months if all goes according to plans.

We’ll remind you that the GTE shares its widebody kit with the Evora race car and the 444 horsepower comes courtesy of a highly tuned 3.5-liter V6 with Dual-Variable Valve Timing.

Changes over the Evora S include a new set of alloys wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tires and numerous carbon fiber components that have reduced the weight by 150 kg. No pricing or performance figures are available right now.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
