Lotus Appoints New Dealer in Brisbane

British carmaker Lotus is setting the stage for the introduction of the new Evora in Australia with the appointment of a new dealership in Brisbane. The new center, which will be known as Lotus Brisbane, will be operated by Euromarque and will be the only one based in Queensland, housing both sales and servicing operations.

Lotus offers a strong addition to the existing brands that Euromarque represents. That the new Lotus Brisbane had a previous association with Lotus adds further benefit both at business relationship level and naturally at customer level. We are delighted to be a part of each other’s future,” Jonathan Stretton, Lotus Cars Auatralia said when announcing the appointment.

The new dealership will host the entire range of Lotus vehicles, including the Elise S, Exige S, Europa S and SE, the 2-Eleven and, starting 2010, the new Evora. Lotus will target what they call "the complementing brands": Bentley, Maserati, Audi and Ferrari.

We are impressed with the current and future direction of Lotus; not only are we excited about the current range of Lotus performance cars but in the direction of Lotus cars in years to come," Greg Willims, Euromarque dealer principal added.

"We will provide great service to Queensland clients in specifying and ordering their Lotus car. Our sales expertise will be backed by factory-trained service. We aim to provide quality, sales and service in the heart of Brisbane city.

The star of next year's line-up, the 2010 Evora, will be powered by a 3.5l engine, capable of generating 276 hp at 6,400 rpm and 258 lb.-ft of torque at 4,700 rpm. However, prices for Australia have not yet been released.
