End of auction yesterday for Jorge Lorenzo's custom "Graffiti" helmet he wore to victory in Barcelona. What started as casual charitable auction went on into a fierce battle which turned out no less than €27,101 ($35,369).
This one-off collectors' helmets received a massive number of 172 bids during the 10 days it was up for auction. The proceedings of this auction have been donated to the Fundacion Itinerarium, a charity organization which takes care of those with Down Syndrome.

Jorge Lorenzo's "Grafffiti" winner helmet was designed by a Catalan girl by the name of Anna Vives, who suffers with Down Syndrome herself, but is involved in creative graphics and is something of a local star in Catalunya. Way to go Lorenzo, hope to see you riding again soon.
