Lorenzo Does Not Shake Injuries Habit

After crashing in the warm-up session of the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix held at Laguna Seca last weekend, the mobile clinic of the MotoGP series diagnosed the Spaniard with a collarbone damage in his right shoulder.

Upon arrival in Spain, Jorge Lorenzo visited a private clinic in Barcelona, which confirmed after a CAT scan the diagnosis of the Clinica Mobile. The full extent of the injury includes a small fracture in the head of the fourth metatarsal in his right foot, contusions to the bones in both ankles and an ‘acromial clavicular separation’ in his right shoulder.

Doctor's recommendations imply lots of rest, following a physiotherapy course and taking anti-inflammatory medicine. The Spanish rider is expected to race at Sachsenring after being given painkilling injections, reported MotoGP's official website.

Though a talented rider, Jorge Lorenzo managed to gather criticism about his inconsistency. During the 2008 MotoGP season Jorge Lorenzo recorded an impressive seven crashes in only three months. After registering two spectacular highside flips at the Chinese Grand Prix and the U.S. Laguna Seca GP and several broken bones and snapped ligaments later, Lorenzo's composure still remains at low levels.

We certainly wish him a fast recovery and hope the Fiat Yamaha rider won't repeat last year's 'performance' at Sachsenring when he crashed on wet conditions.
