Long Wheelbase Mercedes G55 AMG by Brabus

It’s really surprising to thing that the Mercedes Benz G-Class used to be a military vehicle when you look at just how luxurious it is. It might have the drag coefficient of a brick, but it’s distinguished enough to drive the Pope in and all the top celebrities have one. It’s like an understated overstatement, and there’s nothing like it.
One of the spotters we follow, Fipeux, filmed an interesting version of the G55 AMG. Obviously, it features all the latest cosmetic enhancements from Brabus, such as retouched headlights and new bumpers.

But it also hides a secret. You see, this is the Elongate Brabus Mercedes G55 AMG, a rare beast, which comes with a longer wheelbase.

The extra sheetmetal is added from the rear doors onwards. These no longer meet the rear arches and the glass surface is clearly increased, but very subtly.

The car has is also known as the G55 extralong, or G55 XXL.
