Whether or not you consider first world problems a joke, you should know some cities out there are taking things serious nowadays. Such is the case for London's officials, who are tired of seeing rich people driving their Lambos, Rolls-Royce, and Ferraris on the streets of London in an exercise of defiant opulence.

Forgive us for the rather dramatic comparison, but we’re sure there are bigger problems out there than the hundred-thousand-dollars exotics wealthy youngsters ship over from Dubai over the summer just to brag. Or aren't there?

It may seem so for some people, but for the rulers in London and for Londoners alike the loud revving of their engines, the disturbing volume of the music they play and the defiant way they march in a crowd, these expensive supercars are a problem.

That is why Kensington and Chelsea's council is now consulting on how to lower down the volume – literally. They consider these supercar-show off having “a detrimental effect on the local community’s quality of life.”

According to English Standard, the plans would make it a criminal offence for drivers to rev engines, play loud music or rapidly accelerate. That’s not all, though. If approved, the strict rules would also make it illegal for groups to drive in convoy, leave the car running while stationary or beep the horn.

Here’s what Cllr Tim Ahren, the council’s cabinet member for environment, environmental health and leisure had to say about it, according to the source:

“I know there has been a lot of coverage of expensive cars racing around Knightsbridge and also parking up and revving their engines. We want to take steps to discourage these drivers from their antisocial behavior.”

Let us just assume these new rules will eventually apply, here’s advice for those who simply can’t live without showing off in expensive cars: buy a Tesla! (It's a joke! Or isn't it?)
