UK black cab company Eyetease has officially announced that starting next year, it will offer free WiFi internet in the back of its vehicles for customers.
The service will provide you with 15 minutes of surfing in exchange for watching 15 seconds of ad time, which isn’t bad. The official carrier that will provide the connection is probably the beneficiary of that ad time, though we don’t yet know who that is.
The drivers will also benefit from the internet connection, though it hasn’t been stated exactly on what basis.
The internet connection will be both 3G and 4G, toggling from one to the other to ensure constant data transfer. All will be revealed, early in 2013, when CabWifi is officially launched.
