It looks like the rider in this video will not be exactly eager to drink from his Coke bottle: first of all, he will have to wait for it to settle after dropping it on the road.
Even so, the Coke bottle will have plenty of time to settle, as it appears that the first trip this guy has to make is to an emergency room, to have his new wounds treated.
Now, why did this fellow brake so violently remains a mystery: even if he had missed the exit, it was no use braking like mad, since going back was definitely not an option. He was coming in rather hot, but in case the next exit was his, he still had pretty much room for a decent deceleration. A bake malfunction cannot be ruled out, by all means, even though such occasions when the front brake is suddenly engaged are not exactly a common thing.
Another explanation could be the very cock bottle or other luggage which may have slipped from his grasp. Even so, braking so strongly could not have helped things in any way. In fact, it only made things worse. Could really use a Coke now, seriously!
