Lolo Is Fine, the FJR1300A Isn't [Update]

Yesterday we told you about a very serious accident involving Laurent Cochet, better known as Lolo, journalist and rider for French publication Moto Journal. Lolo was test riding a 20013 Yamaha FJR1300A and as he reached the quay in Saint Martin en Re (Southern France), he hit one of the bike's panniers against a pier.

Loosing control of the bike, Lolo plunged bike and all, onto the lower level of the pier, the FJR smashing head-first against the wooden floor and Lolo falling into a boat. Despite the brutal crash and scary sight, Laurent Cochet is alright, getting away with just a sprain thumb and a heap of bruises, as himself declared earlier via his Facebook account.

Even more, he posted a picture of the Yamaha FJR1300A, pretty mauled, as we were expecting, but with good hopes to be repaired, seemingly. Lolo himself stresses that his accident is the perfect proof that nobody is 100% safe on a bike, and being aware at all times is the only way to keep damages and injuries at bay. He also adds this event will make him be even more focused during filming, which is an advice we could all take.
