Reducing one’s carbon footprint is the IT thing these days, and, to promote it in Scotland, some of the local authorities have adopted the Nissan Leaf as their daily driver, so a first batch of 12 cars will be bought.
The dozen cars will be spread amongst NHS Tayside, Dundee City Council, Perth & Kinross Council and Dumfries and Galloway Council. The cars were purchased with the aid of a grant, offered by Transport Scotland. We agree that 12 cars is not that many, but if they prove their worth, we’re sure that more of them will be bought.

The advantages of the Leaf are clear to see, a substantial reduction in fuel bills, zero emissions and silence and comfort. Combined with the ever-expanding UK charging point network, we think it’s only a matter of time before more widespread adoption of the car (and EVs in general) begins.
