The Russian fellows who invented the amazing Livemap fighter-like HUD motorcycle helmet ahve made it to CES this year and demoed the system in the CES Hardware Battlefield.
A lot of things have changed for the better since we introduced the Livemap HUD Motorcycle Helmet to you last year. The best thing is that the whole system was shrunken to about half the size, and this lead to a very important upgrade: the Livemap can now be fitted in regular modular helmets!

This means a hefty reduction in production and retrofitting costs, not to mention the fact that the new version is so much easier to install in other manufacturer's helmets, if need be.

The inventors claim that the main difference between Livemap and its competitors is the completely integrated information display mode. It requires no attention shifting from the road, like somewhat similar systems do now, so it takes safety and information accessibility to the next level.

Livemap is now in the final production stage, after contracting key manufacturing partners. It is supposed to hit North America in Q4 2014, for the price of $2,000 (€1,470). Pre-ordering the Livemap will however offer early birds a $500 (€367) discount.
