Livall Bling Is a Smart Cycling Helmet That Does It All

The protective gear world is becoming littered with smart helmets that offer the latest in communication and navigation technology, but the cycling scene is not idling, either. Enter Livall Bling, the smart bicycle helmet that packs multimedia, phone calls, SOS alarm, turn signals and many more.

Livall Bling started as a casual cycling helmet but received a ton of upgrades. The ones that are the easiest to spot are obviously the LED lights. The entire helmet is covered with LED strips that can be lit in several patterns and that also change color.

One of the cool things about the Livall lid is the light module at the back of the head, and not because of the eerie light it emits. It acts like a nighttime riding light, but will also indicate the direction the rider plans to take. This will also help road users detect the cyclist more easily, but is also a most convenient feature when riding in a group in low-light conditions.

Bluetooth integration with the smartphone and the Bling Jet remote

The helmet is also equipped with a three-axis accelerometer that can tell when the rider was involved in a crash. Even more, the Livall Bling will set all the lights in SOS mode and will initiate an emergency call.

Besides the helmet itself, the creators of this amazing project are also offering the Bling Jet, a special remote that can be effortlessly installed on the bike. This module comes with a rechargeable battery that will keep your smartphone topped up while pedaling and sports multiple buttons that serve different purposes.

Alongside the special smartphone holder, the Bling Jet remote can access various other functions of the system, such as taking phone calls, music playback, taking photos or shooting videos, or even initiating helmet-to-helmet communications via a walkie-talkie function.

A dedicated app is of course provided as part of the package, as well, and it can also record numerous ride variables, such as speed, gradient, distance and more. Sharing this data on social media platforms is also possible. A Nano Cadence Sensor is also supplied, said to be the smallest such unit in the world.

The project is already overfunded on Indiegogo, but you can still get a very neat package with the Bling Helmet, Bling Jet remote AND the cadence sensor for only $100 (€90).
