Liuzzi Positive of 2011 Seat with Force India

There are at least 3 drivers aiming for a race seat with Force India next season, and all are linked with Vitantonio Liuzzi's job. What happens now with the two current Force India drivers – Adrian Sutil and Liuzzi – is somehow ironic, as both tell the media their jobs are secure for next season, yet the rumors about their potential ousting are getting stronger by the day.

After Sutil told the international press that he will stay at Silverstone for another season, it was now Liuzzi's turn to confirm his position at Vijay Mallya's team (notice how lately it's the drivers who keep confirming their seats with their teams, rather than the team officials), insisting that he's looking at the 2011 campaign with a lot of calm.

“Each time a driver is said to interest Force India, looks like it's always me the one who has to move over,” he said in a recent interview with Autosprint. “This is obviously just what part of the media says, because on my part I'm very calm.”

“In the team no one has told me anything about it, I have a contract for next year, and I'm already at work with that in mind. I feel safe, not just with the contract I have in my hands, but also with the fine relationship I have with the team.”

“I don't need to talk to the team about this: the situation is clear, the rest is just speculations. The team has told me it can't stop the media, and it has already denied those rumours at the Suzuka press conference. The fact that my name is not on the FIA list matters little, as other drivers who have already signed are missing too. Things are more than clear between me and Force India.”

For the time being, Nico Hulkenberg, Nick Heidfeld and Paul di Resta seem to be the likely candidates for the seat, with the team to announce its full lineup by Christmas. In the FIA entry list, Force India doesn't have a single confirmed driver for 2011.
