Liuzzi Happy to Silence Critics in Korea

Vitantonio Liuzzi scored his best result of the season in Korea, after having managed to bring a single point to his Force India team in the previous 8 rounds. Needless to say, he was heavily criticized for his poor run recently, yet during the difficult Korean Grand Prix he managed to deliver a strong result.

Apart from helping his team score some more points in the overall classification, silencing his critics was another element that made him enjoy his 6th place finish. And he let it all out after the race, when giving an interview to British magazine Autosport.

For me, the importance was to confirm my belief that I am not dreaming when I say that I just needed the right circumstances. We didn't have luck recently, and everything was going wrong in the last events, even though speed was there,” said Liuzzi.

I have never had a problem with speed, it has just been a problem of things going wrong for us. Today we did everything at the right moment. We were fast in these conditions. We are great fighters and we showed that we can be there and fight for a great result. It was a confirmation of the belief that I just needed my luck to change,” he added.

Recent rumors have suggested that Liuzzi is in fact on his way out of the Force India at the end of this season, following his poor performances in 2010. Scottish racer Paul di Resta is knocking on the team's door and one of the current Force India drivers will inevitably have to leave Silverstone.

Although he told the media recently that he signed a 2-year deal with Force India at the beginning of this season and he tends to respect that deal until the end, his seat with the Indian-backed team is yet to be confirmed for next season.
