Why would anyone chop off a retired Daewoo Matiz (the predecessor of the Chevrolet Spark for the millennials who couldn’t care less) and then build a full-size replica of the children’s plastic toy car? For charity and out of British humor, of course. The best part is you can now make it yours.
Wait, is this thing road legal? Oh, yes it is. As a matter of fact, the funny people who have created it and brought it to the world last year claim it has traveled over 5,000 miles already. In the name of science? Not quite, but if helping the ones in need is a course, then you may as well call it that way.

We’re looking at one hell of a contraption that still manages to have everybody’s head turn. The reason may not be the same as the effect the LaFerrari has, for instance, but still.

Actually, it’s more like people want to make sure no toddler is sitting in the driver’s seat. For what it’s worth, we’ll remind you this thing is built after one of those kids’ plastic toy cars you pick up for your toddler. Some supermarkets even offer shopping carts made in the same shape. Again, this is not a toy. We’re looking at the result of 1,000 hours of work. The Matiz was stripped to the bone, a section of the chassis was then chopped, and a carbon copy of the toy was added. A 0.8-liter engine is powering the little fellow, delivering 50 ponies and offering a top speed in the region of 70 mph (113 km/h). Sure, who would ever want to reach that mark in such a contraption?

You could, however, use it for its charity purpose the Attitude Autos shop built it for in the first place, considering they claim the Crazy Coupe’s “potential in the right hands could be quite phenomenal.” The car was professionally valued at $46,000 while the eBay price is $33,226, so it sounds like a good deal.
