Listen to the Hennessey Venom GT Reach 370 KM/H in 20 Seconds

The Hennessey Venom GT is one of the fastest cars ever made. It features a seven-liter V8 engine, which is boosted by two turbochargers, which give it a total power output in excess of 1,200 hp. Also, since it uses a stretched version of a Lotus all-aluminium chassis, it is very light and strong, making the engine’s power even more intense.
Recently, Hennessey posted a video online, of an acceleration run done with the Venom GT, taking it all the way up to 370 km/h (230 mph), in just under 20 seconds. The first 100 km/h (62 mph) are dispatched in 2.5 seconds, while 320 km/h (200 mph) comes up in 15.3 seconds. Still, the speed recorded in the video is still a long way off the theoretical top speed it can achieve, which is 272 mph, or 440 km/h.

Also, with the large displacement V8, fitted with two turbos, and a straight exhaust, the Venom GT sounds like nothing else on the road, making its own unique combination of rumbly American V8 and highly-audible turbo whine.
