You’ve done it too, admit it! There’s no way you didn’t lip sync on the Backstreet Boys or Spice Girls at least once throughout your road trips. We know you did, and we’re pretty sure it was quite annoying for your fellow motorists traveling along. Well, this guy clearly managed to make his sister consider the train next time.
It’s on in the details when it comes to lip-sync singing; sure, you need to have a special sense of listening, as if the music is talking to your ear, telling you its ways. But, it’s all about the small parts that you need to concentrate on, especially if you want to film the entire adventure with your car’s dash cam. For the two people out there who haven’t heard about this practice, we’ll take a second to bring it to you.

Whether you call it lip sync, lip-sync or lip-synch, they all mean the same thing. It’s a technical term for matching lip movements with pre-recorded sung or spoken vocals that the listeners hear through speakers. Sure, it’s a practice that almost comes involuntarily, ever since music has been recorded, but it became an entertainment gig rather recently.

In 1981, Wm. Randy Wood started lip sync contests at the Underground Nightclub in Seattle, Washington to attract customers. They were that popular he took the matches worldwide. Put it this way, by 1984 he had such events running in over 20 cities. Fast forward to present times, and it’s safe to say things are still quite popular when it comes to the practice. Take Lip Sync Battle, the musical comedy television program running on Spike. Not to mention Jimmy Fallon’s gig in which celebrities battle each other with lip sync performances.

Getting back to this fine driver, it appears he is trying to set some type of world record, considering he claims he spent seven hours lip-sync singing. His sister may be annoyed by his moves, but she does clap towards the end of the clip, so you may want to wait for it when watching.

Moreover, there’s another video showing the same guy using his voice too, while doing Taylor Swift’s Bad Blood big hit we also listed below, just to make your Monday more bearable.
