Ford doesn’t offer the Ranger Raptor stateside, leaving the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 in a league of its own as the most capable off-road pickup truck in the mid-size segment. You can spruce up the ‘Rado with the Bison package from American Expedition Vehicles, but then again, Lingenfelter has an even wilder proposition – the ZR2-L Edition.
Based on the Colorado ZR2, the 50-state-emissions-legal upgrade kit isn’t cheap. $15,499 is how much it costs including installation, and the first highlight that needs mentioning is the TVS R1740 supercharging system. The blower is complemented by an air-to-water intercooler and an aluminum reservoir tank and a cat-back performance exhaust system. Care to guess how much this baby puts out at the crankshaft?

450 horsepower, thank you! Torque is rated at 377 pound-feet, and according to Lingenfelter, these ratings provide “improved towing ability and improved driveability.” The latter is somewhat polarizing if you go through the on- and off-road mods, starting with the 1.5-inch suspension lift and 17-inch General Grabber AT/X rubber.

The wheels are 17 inches by 9 inches at all four corners of the super truck available in Dark Silver, Black, or Bronze tint coat. LED trail lights mounted onto the front bumper, stronger two hooks, hood and side graphics, Lingenfelter badging, a sports bar with off-road lights, embroidered headrests, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with carbon-fiber inserts, and a certificate of authenticity pretty much round off the list of mods.

If you take a closer look at the tuner’s website, you will notice the fine print that reads “this V6 supercharger upgrade is also available for the GMC Canyon.” As for rear-wheel horsepower and torque, the dyno shows 377 horsepower and 321 pound-feet.

The High Feature blunderbuss with a blower on top delivers maximum torque from 3,500 to 5,800 rpm, and if you were wondering, Lingenfelter throws in a three-year/36,000-mile powertrain warranty for the customer’s peace of mind. The supercharger is covered for 50,000 miles according to the company’s listing.

If you want only the blower upgrade without the off-road and aesthetic improvements, the package can be had for $5,550 without or $6,995 including installation.
