Lingenfelter Tunes Corvette ZR1 for Charity

Lingenfelter has a great heart. No, we are not referring to some new powerplant developed by the American aftermarket company. We really mean what we said and here’s why: the aftermarket developer has flexed its tuning muscles, taking part in a charity aimed at supporting the Kids Wish Network HERO program.

The tuning company has modified a Corvette ZR1, an extremely hot vehicle even in a factory stock form we have to say, with the car being auctioned for charity.

The unique ‘Vette was included in the 2010 Corvette Dream Giveaway, a fundraising event that supports the Kids Wish Network HERO program taking place in more than 150 pediatric hospitals across the US. The event also offered a 1967 427 Corvette Roadster as a prize.

So, what has the beast been gifted with? Lingenfelter has started its work under the hood, where it has installed multiple parts, such as a custom supercharger pulley and an air inlet upgrade. The result of all the work is impressive. To be more precise, this one-off ‘Vette allows the driver to punish the rear wheels with more than 700 hp, enough to make almost any other car on the road cry. The ride also comes with other special features -for example its engine compartment is signed by country music singer Brad Paisley.

Now that we’ve met the custom supercar, let’s see who got the keys in the end. The winner of the 2010 Corvette Dream Giveaway was Brian Landgren, an entrepreneur from Washington, who will be able to enjoy his new rides starting from February 28.
