Lingenfelter 2021 C8 Chevy Corvette Is Matched by SEMA-Quality Classic for $3

This year’s grand prize consists of a 2021 C8 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, a custom-built 1961 Corvette Convertible, and the additional cash needed to cover all those annoying taxes. So, let’s start off with the modern incarnation of the original. The 2021 C8 Corvette is very hot commodity right now, and the Silver Flare Metallic example seen here has a very long list of factory options to bode well with the Adrenaline Red leather interior.

For example, the build hasn’t forgotten the Z51 Performance package, the Z51 Performance suspension with Magnetic Ride Control, or the 3LT Premium equipment package, among others. Better yet, the 2021 C8 has been modified by the tuning experts over at Lingenfelter Performance Engineering, and it’s now being advertised with almost 600 horsepower for the 6.2-liter LT2 V8 hooked to an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Next up is the first generation 1961 Corvette Convertible, which has been through the increasingly popular restomod treatment to ensure it is up to par with the modern mid-engined iteration. It’s dressed up in a matching silver shade and comes with very clean exterior looks.

Mind you, the classic car appearance is entirely deceiving because underneath the body, everything is decidedly fresh, starting with the 376ci (6.2-liter) LS3 V8 that was mated to a six-speed manual transmission so the driver would have a proper feel of the available 525 horsepower.

Apparently, the build’s cost exceeded the $250k mark, as no expenses were spared to make this an incredible ride. It comes complete with leather bucket seats, coilover suspension, removable hardtop, four-wheel disc brakes, an independent rear suspension, 19-inch alloys, and Magnaflow dual exhaust.
