Lincoln Says Lincoln Lawyer Movie Is Not Product Placement

We live in an era when most major companies pay stars and movie producers millions of dollars for just a few shorts seconds of prime-time viewership of the chance to appear in a major Hollywood film. However, in an bizarre twist of events, Lincoln has told the InsideLine that it had absolutely nothing to do with the new movie called ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’.

"Lincoln was not involved in the movie, but we welcome any opportunity for Lincoln products to be shed in a positive light, regardless of the occasion,"
said Christian Bokich, Lincoln spokesman. This isn’t much of a surprise, as the movie stands for everything that the company wants its customers to forget

The film, which will debut in just a few days, is all about an influential Los Angeles attorney who sometimes deals with his customers from the back of his old Town Car. It stars Matthew McConaughey, Ryan Phillipe and Marisa Tomei, and is based on a book of the same name by Michael Connelly.

Mick Haller (McConaughey) is a lawyer who is a genius in manipulating the system for his client's benefits. His good-looks and confident swagger seem to endear him to all those whom he crosses paths. While most of his clients are drug dealers, gangsters and all-round bad guys, the story focuses on the case of wealthy Los Angeles agent Louis Roulet, who is accused of assault and attempted murder.

Until we can see the full movie on Friday, we can show you this official trailer, which shows a Lincoln Town Car of unidentified vintage with the vanity plate NTGUILTY.
