Alright, alright, alright. We find ourselves rhapsodizing once again without knowing why precisely. Is it the music, is it Lincoln’s new MKX luxury SUV or perhaps Matthew McConaughey’s gestures while holding the wheel? The trumpet may not be the most complicated instrument out there, but we’re pretty sure the actor doesn’t actually know how to play it. Or does he?
Judging by how he moves his fingers while gently and gentlemanly driving that Lincoln one would think the Oscar-winning actor knows a thing or two about the instrument. Sure, this is just one aspect of the new series of ads Lincoln has just released.

We’ve evolved this new campaign for the Lincoln MKX to include a story arc that unfolds over the course of three television spots,” said John Emmert, Group Marketing Manager, Lincoln. “If the audience wants to learn more, they can visit Lincoln.com to access further content that tells the story in more detail.”

The new theme is called “The Feeling Stays With You” and all the spots were crafted by acclaimed director Gus Van Sant. As most of the luxurious, eccentric cars in the line, the new Lincoln MKX also has a special something for the details, namely its optional enhancements.

Take “The Welcome Experience” which includes an array of features to elevate every drive, such as light-up sequence headlamps, ambient interior lighting, and a signature Lincoln welcome mat that illuminates when you approach.

Right under the front batch, the luxurious SUV has a 360-degree camera that unfolds the moment the driver needs further visibility, just like James Bond would do before hitting a busy intersection in Paris. The list may go on with a bunch of features Ford’s luxury branch is offering, but let us just look under the hood for a second.

The standard engine will be the Duratec 37 V6 rated at 304 horsepower at 6500 rpm and 280 lb-ft (380 Nm) at 4250 rpm. As to the price, without $38,100 you don’t even need to consider it.
