We don't know if you've noticed, but there's a new Lincoln around, and it's inspired for lack of a better word. The mid-size luxury sedan shares its CD4 platform with the Ford Fusion, but there isn't a single panel on it that's shared.
The car company offers the 2013 MKZ with three powertrains: a 240-horsepower EcoBoost 2-liter 4-cylinder, a 300-horsepower 3.7-liter V6 or a 2.0-liter based hybrid system rated at 45b mpg highway and city.
As some of you might already know, Ford's CEO Alan Mulally wanted to close Lincoln, but eventually decided against this. Despite all Ford's efforts, Lincoln last year saw a 7% reduction in sales, despite a growing market.
However, this is clearly a question of mistaken identity, and at the 2013 Super Bowl, they're going to show this brand is all-new, a "Phoenix" rising out from the ashes, completely different to every other old Town Car.
