Even if Mercedes-Benz is currently developing a new armoured limousine meant for people who really need to be safe and protected, for sure, heads of state, monarch and high-class business men won't be their only customers. Once every gangsta-rapper and royalty-wannabe finds out there's a new armoured limo from Mercedes-Benz, this car will become a must-have.

This armoured Pullman Limousine is based on the long version of the S 600, but Mercedes-Benz engineers have extended its wheelbase length significantly. To power this vehicle, they have equipped it with a 12 cylinder biturbo engine, which can develop up to 517 hp and a maximum torque of 830 Nm. The Mercedes-Benz S 600 Guard Pullman is meant as the ultimate protection vehicle, and is certified as resistance level B6/B7 (whatever that means) by the proper authorities.

The manufacturer brags that the S600 Guard Pullman can withstand attacks with standard military arms and projectiles. Also it can protect whoever is inside from hand grenades and other explosive devices and some more notable safety features are the self-sealing fuel tank, run-flat tires and fire-extinguishing system.

Due to its extra-long wheelbase, the Mercedes-Benz S 600 Guard Pullman offers a lot of room in the back. Up to four passengers can go in the back and can take a seat of the face-to-face seats while never having to worry about getting shot or attacked.

But everyone who will want to be protected by the Mercedes-Benz S 600 Guard Pullman will have to wait some more, because this limo is set to be released in late 2008.
