It’s easy to see why the E92 M3 has such a big cult around it, especially when you’re looking at photos of the car wearing all sorts of aftermarket parts or when you hear it roar its huge V8.
Get an experienced tuning company behind you car’s future and you’re set for greatness, the kind that comes around only once in a while. Some might also say that modifying a car that was launched in limited numbers by BMW themselves might be sacrilege but they’ll surely reconsider after looking at the adjacent images.
We’re dealing with a Lime Rock Edition M3 here, in case you didn’t already figured it out by the color it’s wearing. That means only 200 of these beauties were ever made, to celebrate the famous track located in the northeast side of the US.
All of them were sold exclusively on the North American continent and all of them were painted in Fire Orange. Special features included carbon fiber performance parts, such as roof, front splitter, rear spoiler, competition package, a lowered ride height in front of .60 inches, track style steering with fewer turns to lock and a lightweight muffler, courtesy of BMW's M division.
Under the bonnet, no changes were made but that’s not what we can say about the car featured here. This one received an ESS VT2-650 supercharger system that took the power up to around 600 HP at the wheels with the help of the ACM pipes and Akrapovic exhaust with carbon fibre tail pipe tips.
That’s not all though, new MORR MS90 20” wheels were also added alongside ACM headlights with quad projectors, KW sleeve kit-roll cage, Recaro pole position seats with Auto Couture stitching, AWRON vent gauge, Mode Carbon GTS lip and skirt extensions and StopTech brakes. It’s quite breathtaking, isn’t it?
