Italian car manufacturer Automobili Turismo Sport, better known as ATS, announced that their brand-new Sport 1000 lightweight vehicle is now available to order.
Introduced late last year, the ATS Sport 1000 comes in both race and street versions with price tags of €24,990 and €43,500 respectively. No US pricing revealed yet, but the company claims the vehicles are sold worldwide.
The track-ready version is available as a fully built car with a choice of four-cylinder motorcycle engines from Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, MV Augusta or Honda, but it can also be acquired without a powerplant if the customer wishes to use a different unit. As for the road legal version, it comes with a 200 bhp Kawasaki Ninja 1000 engine, which should be enough for the vehicle’s 500 kg (1,100 lbs) curb weight.
Automobili Turismo Sport, a company founded by Ferrari F1 engineers, claims it can deliver both left hand or right hand drive cars and create special configurations following the request of each costumer or team.
