Last month, we talked about Liberty Walk preparing a widebody approach for the S550 Ford Mustang. Back then, the Japanese tuner delivered a series of photos showing the unfinished bits fitted to the car. The time has now come to return to the topic, as LB Walk has brought us the real deal.
Kato Wataru's team has gone all the way for this pony, gifting the slab of America with its signature riveted-on fenders, lower body aero armour comprised of a front splitter and side skirt extensions, a tail, as well as an overly customise hood.
The custom wheels of the pony also stand out and there are two reasons for this. The first has to do with the outlandish design of the rolling goodies, while the second involves the spacers that push the wheels to the sides of the car, in order for these to fill those fat fenders.
Liberty Walk kits are as polarising as they get, since these not only change the appearance of a machine in a dramatic manner, but also require cutting into the fenders of the car.
Nevertheless, we can think of multiple reasons for one not to hate the LB Walk 'Stang.
Let's take the hood, for example. The melange between the massive power dome and the side vents is not unlike what many US tuners have to offer for the machine.
Then there's the tail of this pony - the spoiler fitted to the car reminds us of what NASCAR animals use.
And if you think that the lines of the modern-day Mustang have been altered by the Japanese touches we can see here, you might just have more expensive machines to worry about.
In fact, just earlier today we showed you the aftermarket developer's widebody package for the Lamborghini Aventador SV - keep in mind that the Sant'Agata Bolognese automaker only brought 600 units of the Superveloce Coupe to the world.
