This next car has the potential to stir up a hornets' nest. It's about as controversial as a racist joke since it puts a ricer twist on an American muscle coupe. Yes, folks, it's the rocket bunny combined with the feline from hell, a widebody version of Hellcat.
Liberty Walk is the company responsible for this type of kit, which is extremely popular in Japan. Back a few decades ago, people figured out they needed simple ways to install wider fenders to cover the wheels on their drift cars. They bolt directly to the body of the car in a way many would consider butchery.
Our beast of the day is a 2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat. As you can see on the exterior, the front and rear fender flares from Liberty Walk were installed. However, SR Auto, a Canadian tuning company, didn't stop there.
They also fitted an air ride suspension system with the help of Airrex Air System. This lowers the Challenger to the ground and gives it a stance the Honda or Mazda crowd may appreciate.
The wheels are also new, PUR LP01 units that are 20 inches in diameter and have a glossy gold finish. Their deep-dish design accentuates the chrome finish of the wheel "lip", which contrasts with black trim on the back of the Hellcat.
You may think that this should never be done to a Hellcat. However, the owner of this machine dares to think differently. He believes in mixing and matching, the reward being the only Dodge with an import look around. And if anybody objects to this car, at least the 707 hp beast can still smoke everything.
