Noticing that the hangar from which they shoot each episode of Top Gear wasn’t big enough for their audience, the dynamic trio from BBC (Jezza, Hammond and May) decided to put together something bigger. That’s how the Top Gear Live concept came alive and millions of people can now watch the crazy presenters in the flesh around the world.
It’s a new concept that has Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May perform in front of live audiences, alongside the famous Stig. Their stunts (and the show overall) are as crazy as they get and living proof of that, as a matter of fact, is the inclusion of some heavily tuned Bimmers.
Not too long ago we noticed that their Facebook account posted a picture (available below) of two Liberty Walk BMW E92 M3s. At first, we didn’t know what to make of it but soon we discovered that these cars are used for their shows, as you can see in the video below.
This year, the Norway show included such a duo and the crowd went wild when they saw them. But for an average motor enthusiasts, the Liberty Walk name might not say much. What makes these M3s so special?
Well, it’s the fact that they have extremely wide body kits. LB is specialized in making this sort of ... add-ons and it’s not just BMW it does them for. Other companies were also deemed worthy of their attention like Lamborghini, Ferraris and even Nissan’s GT-R.
Other than that, most of the cars that receive such kits also have their interior stripped out and the exhaust replaced, to make as much noise as possible. Yes, I said noise, because after a certain level, it’s no longer enjoyable.
Therefore, paying attention to what’s hip these days, Top Gear adapted and included two such M3s in its show. Unfortunately, you’ll have to pay to see the entire display as what we have here are just a couple of seconds of it. Looks enticing, doesn’t it?
